    August 17, 2017, 10:12 PM (IDT) Barcelona police have identified the terrorist who Thursday drove a van down Las Ramblas, murdering 13 people and injuring 56, as Driss Oukabir, who was born in Morocco in 1989 and lived in Spain. A Facebook page in his name identified him as being from Marseille and living in Ripoli, Catalonia. The page contained a video that spoke of a global Jewish conspiracy to take over the world and contained Nazi images. ISIS channels celebrated the Barcelona attack but made no claim of responsibility.  ... read more

    August 15, 2017, 8:11 AM (IDT) North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said early Tuesday that he would watch US actions before making a decision on the threat to fire four missiles in the Guam vicinity by mid-August.   Although prepared for "the enveloping fire at Guam", the North said it would first watch what "the foolish Yankees" do.   • Trump’s advisers plan Middle East round trip
    August 13, 2017, 1:39 PM (IDT) A White House official announced that President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushern, his peace envoy Jason Greenblatt and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell will launch a Middle East round trip at the end of August. It will “focus on the path to substantive Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, combating extremism, the situation in Gaza, including how to ease the humanitarian crisis there." The three emissaries will meet with leaders from Israel and the Palestinian Authority, as well as representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt.   • A pilot killed, 2nd injured in IAF Apache crash
    August 8, 2017, 12:46 AM (IDT) The IDF spokesman reported Monday night, Aug. 8 that an Israeli Air force Apache helicopter had crashed on a test flight for checking the Apache fleet’s fitness for operations upon returning to the Ramon Air Base in the Negev.  The helicopter belonging to the 190th Squadron reported a technical misfunction and a few minutes later at 21:01 hours crashed between the two runways of the base.   ... read more
